Preventive Controls for Animal Food: Compliance Dates

FSMA was signed into law by President Barack Obama in January 2011. The final rule was published in September 2015, and by July 2016 the first recognized training began. The compliance dates are staggered over three years, with one year between Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) compliance and Hazard Analysis/Preventive Controls (HA/PC). The actual compliance date depends on the year. These compliance dates are specific to the Preventive Controls for Animal Food rule.
