The Preventive Controls for Animal Food: Additional Resources page has been updated with new materials.
Additions to this page include information for the Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP) and courses offered by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) for preventive controls, current good manufacturing practices (CGMP).
Also added are commonly used guidance documents from the FDA that might be useful for facilities developing their food safety plans.
NC State Extension is continuing to work with local and state health officials, as well as NC State and N.C. A&T State Universities, to monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To help prevent the spread of the virus, Marissa Herchler, Area Specialized Agent for Animal Food Safety will be working remotely; she will not be conducting facility visits until further notice. She will be available to answer questions: please contact her with any FSMA questions related to animal food.
